All Reconnect Yoga Holidays & Retreats will be run by Emma Brown, Yoga Teacher, Ayurvedic Massage Therapist, Nutritionist, and Well-being & Positive Living Consultant.

There are usually other guest teachers as well assisting Emma on the retreats to bring a variety to the classes.

About Emma

Emma has been teaching yoga, meditation and philosophy now for more than 20 years. She took the Sivananda Yoga Teachers Training Course in Neyyar Dam, India in 1994 and her Advanced Teachers Trainings in the Sivananda Headquarters in Canada and in Rudraprayag, Himalays in India in 2000/2014.

She met Swami Vishnu Devananda, the founder of the Sivananda organisation, in 1993, and then stayed on as full time voluntary staff with the organisation for the following 14 years doing service and spreading the beautiful message and teachings of Yoga.

During her time as staff she directed the Paris, New York and Delhi Centres for several years, and has an in depth training and experience in all aspects of yoga practise and philosophy. She has also been a teacher on the Sivananda Teachers Training Courses and is now a regular teacher of meditation and philosophy on the Yoga London Teachers Training Courses and teaches classes regularly in Bromley and North London.

Emma is a qualified Ayurvedic Nutrition and Lifestyle consultant and an Ayurvedic Massage Therapist and guides people on all issues of health, wellbeing and positive living.

Building on her unique experience as a sannyasin (monk) within the Sivananda organisation and now as committed teacher on her own, Emma strives to provide loving and gentle guidance, perspective and inspiration for all levels of spiritual aspirants in search of a deeper purpose in life.

There will also be other Sivananda teachers helping on some retreats, which is always nice, as each teacher brings their unique style and approach to the class helping you to understand and work on different elements of the practice.
